Today one of our two hosts was on Mike Francesca's show around 3pm and he mentioned how Mike and Chris inspired us to start our show then Mike started to ask him all types of questions about our program and what it's called and how it works. The show is called Pure Gold. Our website is http://www.puregoldpg.com and our show airs live Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11pm EST.

Our tagline is the show that covers sports, life and everything in between. The main focus is definitely sports but we also divert into other things like movie and tv reviews and we covered wrestling quite a bit until recently. We love to talk sports and give our unique take and invite everyone else who likes WFAN to check us out. We've actually had Evan Roberts, Marc Malusis and Lori Rubinson on our show as special guests. It's good stuff and we welcome all to give their own take.

Yahoo Sports Radio

List of Yahoo sports radio affiliates. WFAN is the first NY affiliate listed. I have heard a few of the Yahoo writers being interviewed on the FAN lately. They have taken over Sporting News Radio which, if you remember, used to be down the dial at 620AM in the late 90's. To the right is the program list and podcast links. Where I get my Czaban podcasts from. Czaban was the only morning sports talk show back then(Imus, no WEPN) and, IMO, is still better than either Boomer/Carton or Mike & Mike. Not sure about the other shows but they could be worth checking out.

On a related but off topic point, I would put out a recommendation for the Degen DE1126 radio. I know that some of you might like to listen to WFAN/WEPN on the go, in the back yard, in the garage, biking or in the park. One of the very few devices which has AM/FM radio plus MP3 playback for your music or podcasts. Older Blackberry phone size(I use a BB Bold case with belt clip), has a 2" speaker(quite decent and better than most all phone speakers), It remembers your place in an MP3 or podcast if you shut it off or change to the radio and go back. Takes cell phone(BL-5C) batteries and gets over 20 hours of battery life with ear/headphones(more with ebay found higher capacity ones), less using the speaker of course. Excellent sound quality and reception(has an FM pull antenna, no earphone cable needed) and is affordable, $60 - $65 for 4GB model. A great device to listen to the FAN and your music files without needing more than one device.
