View Full Version : Minor League Teams Brawl Proving The Yankees Red Sox Hatered Starts Early

Since Pedro threw down Don Zimmer, and A-Rod did his hamburger helper girly glove slap on Bronson Arroyo, the Yankees, Red Sox rivalry has died down a little bit.

Judging from the brawl the minor league teams had, it looks like there will be plenty of fire between the two teams for years too come.

Friday night's South Atlantic League game between the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox affiliate) and the Charleston River Dogs (New York Yankees affiliate),reminded us of those wonderful nights where the sports world stopped when the Red Sox faced the Yankees.

The fans did not even get a chance to sit down, get comfortable, and order an over priced warm beer before the brawl started. On the second pitch of the game Red Sox pitching prospect Miguel Celestino hit former Yankee first round pick Slade Heathcott. Heathcott immediately turned and went after catcher Christian Vazquez, igniting the near minute long melee.

Unlike the latest Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski New Era ad,where Baldwin handed Krasinski $20,000 after hitting him, I think #33 Leonel Escobar will have to pay a much steeper price for his cheap shot punches, along with his uncalled for kicking.
