UPDATE: This was the original RIP Randy Savage thread that has turned into a collection of old videos and is more of a dedication thread now so I have changed the name so it continues to be viewed.

I am hearing things about Macho Man, Randy Savage dying of a heart attack in Florida. I don't believe it is confirmed by authorities yet, but It does appear to be true. I'm very sorry to hear that another all time great has passed before his time.

RIP Macho Man

Everyplace is saying car accident. I remember hearing about Scott Hall going to the hospital during an event maybe a month ago with heart issues, and I was thinking about how he'll just be the next great wrestler to die tragically. Guess i was wrong. I'm not sure if I want this to be from an accident, a heart attack, or drug overdose. It sucks anyway you cut it. RIP to a great one. SO many great Rivalries throughout his great career. That video is great. Randy was great. RIP

What a horrible story. So sad to hear Randy passed away. He's one of the all time greats bar none and it's a shame he's not in the WWE Hall of Fame and now can't go in and do a great speech and get the recognition from the fans he so richly deserved.

I am expecting a very special edition on Pure Gold with tribute to the Macho Man coming up soon. Be sure to post here and give us a heads up when it's coming.

I saw the recent pictures of Macho Man with the long white beard and fat gut. Last I had seen him he still looked the same as his NWO days. Sad news though, the was a founding father of the WWF.

We did 2 shows about the Macho Man this week on 5/24 & 5/26. We had Doug Mortman from Sirius XM's Busted Open wrestling radio show pm Tuesday and Justin LaBar from WrestleZone.com on Thursday. Both guys opened up our shows talking Macho Man, the WWE HoF and his career of course. Good listens if you want to check us out. We played his WWE & WCW entrance music along with the Oooh Yeah clip and "Snap into a slim jim". Good stuff. He was one of the all time greats and we felt the need to discuss him and give him his due. We even have a poll about his career on the home page of our website.

Here they are. Both shows start out with Macho Man talk then go onto other things but it's a good 25 minutes on the first one and about 10 or 15 or so on the second one.

You called this site "WFan.net" Nice plug for them. And Macho blows HBK and his mullet out of the water

Savage was one of the best of all time. It is a shame he is not in the Hall of Fame yet.
