Dr. Met wants to tell Met fans that the Frank Francisco (http://http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/fantasy/news/#player_id=407911)offseason signing may turn out to be a very good one for Alderson.Mets signed Francisco (http://http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/fantasy/news/#player_id=407911)to a two-year deal with the intention of making him their closer. The 32-year-old reliever was 1-4 with 17 saves and a 3.55 ERA in 54 games with the Blue Jays in 2011, issuing 18 walks and striking out 53 in 50 2/3 innings. Despite struggling at times last season, Met fans should note the former Toronto hurler was 7-for-7 in save opportunities and posted a 1.37 ERA after the All-Star break.Yes he can be erratic at times & walk the whole ballpark (think Ollie Perez) but when he is going right he is nasty..Keep in mind he pitched in A.L East last yr and prior to that in Texas, which is one of the worst ballparks to pitch in..Citi Field should be a ray of sunshine for him..I think the Mets have found their closer..
