View Full Version : AFC Championship Preview

The AFC Championship is going to be one great battle between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. This game is going to be played by two of the best QB's of all time. Veterans Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning had a record breaking season. He threw for a new season record of 5,477 yards and another record of 55 touchdowns. He led Denver to an AFC West Title with a record of 13-3 and averaged 37.9 points scored this season (NFL #1). 37 year old Manning looks as good as it gets. Tom Brady is coming into Denver looking to take down the Broncos and improve his impressive playoff record of 18-7. The three time Super Bowl Champ and two time Super Bowl MVP has been in this situation many times, winning five AFC Championships.

The catch...

Peyton Manning is 10-11 in the Playoffs and has only one Super Bowl ring.

Obviously, Tom Brady has more to show for in the playoffs but I think Peyton Manning will beat Tom Brady this Sunday.

Brady will have to have a near perfect game to win. He can not rely on the run game this week to win like they did against the Colts.

Denver's Defense: Stop the run and get to Tom Brady.

Biggest Matchup: Brady vs. Denver's Defense.

Peyton: Continue to do what you do and you will win.

PREDICTION: Denver 38 Patriots 27

I would think the Broncos should blow out the Pats, But we have a great winner against a great loser. Pats win 38 - 24. Manning will throw several bad interceptions, probably in big spots.
