Rivalry Night in New York

The Isles head to MSG to take on the Rangers tonight at 7:00 PM EST.

The Islanders and Rangers meet up for the third time this season. The Isles took the first game 5-3 and the Blueshirts won the second game 3-2. The Isles and Blueshirts meet 3 more times this season, all of those games are within the next 2 weeks.

Both teams started off slow this season but have bounced back, the Islanders are 20-24-7 and the Rangers are 27-21-3. Both teams have been playing well recently. Isles are 7-3-0 in their last ten games and the Rangers are 7-2-1 in their last ten.

This is going to be a good game to watch.

Isles Captain John Tavares has 59 points in 50 games and Kyle Okposo has 49 points on 50 games.

Rangers forward Brad Richards has 37 points in 51 games. The goaltending for the Rangers is outstanding. King Lundqvist and young Cam Talbot have been a big reason for the success the Rangers have had this year.

The Rangers will be favored to win this game. The Islanders lack goaltending and have a couple of injuries that really hurt them. Starting goaltender Evgeni Nabokov is out, along with Top 4 D-Man Travis Hamonic and Lubomir Visnovsky is still out. Rangers Derek Dorsett is out with a broken tibia.

Rangers? Islanders? Who will win?
