The Battle of New York…

The Isles and Rangers meet up again this Tuesday night in MSG. This is the second time these two teams have played each other. The first matchup was won by the Islanders on the road by a score of 6-3. However, the Rangers are a much different team then they were when these two teams played. This is the first time in a long time where the Islanders and Rangers are both very good teams. Tonight should be a great one to watch.

The Islanders are 1st in the Metropolitan Division and hold a record of 28-13-1 with 57 points. The Rangers are right behind with a record of 24-11-4 and 52 points.

The Islanders are 14-9-1 on the road and are 6-3-1 their last 10 games.
The Rangers are 13-5-3 at home and 9-1 in their last 10 games.

The Islanders are 12-2 in their last 14 games vs the Metropolitan Division and 5-2 last 7 overall.
The Rangers are 13-1 their last 14 games and 5-0 their last 5 home games.

Between the Pipes.

Islanders- Jaroslav Halak 22-8-0, 2.29 GAA, .914%

Rangers- Henrik Lundqvist 20-8-3. 2.26 GAA, .918%

Well played game by both teams. Watch for big hits and a few lucky bounces. Emotions will run high in the game. Rangers are hot right now and Islanders are on the road. Rangers take this close one 3-2 in OT.
